Rocktron Intellifex - online
During the past years, the Rocktron Intellifex® effects processor has forged its way into more touring and studio guitar rigs than any processor in its class. Being the first processor to provide an analog signal path in conjunction with DSP effects has given the Intellifex mainstay power. With the Intellifex you enhance your tone, not change it!
Our new Intellifex On-Line offers the exact sonic specs as the original, but at a drastically reduced price. We've even beefed up the chassis construction, included "Internet Access Presets" created by real-world Intellifex users that are available for download from our Web site Patch Bay's Preset Library, and gave it a new look.
When guitar players demanded NO DROPOUTS between presets, Rocktron listened. When guitar players wanted pristine sound quality with ultra transparency, Rocktron listened. And when it comes to noise specs, the Intellifex On-Line cannot be touched. Its 104dB dynamic range makes it quieter than a cleanly recorded compact disc.
Eight different configurations provide a multitude of possibilities, including eight-tap chorus where each tap contains its own level, pan, delay, depth and rate. This makes it possible to mix multiple tap delays with super spacious multi-tap chorusing.
Pitch shifting works in a similar manner, with up to four harmonies, each with its own pitch parameter (up to one octave up and two octaves down), fine adjust, pan and delay. Delay types include multi-tap, stereo and ping-pong. High frequency damping may be applied to soften up the repeats giving more of an analog "echo"-sounding delay. Reverb types include plate, room, hall, stadium and dual, and all feature rich smooth characteristics with no "tinny" leftovers. Dynamic ducking may also be applied to delay and reverb effects, making it possible to dynamically control the level of the repeating effect based on your pick attack. With ducking, long loud delays or reverbs may be used without cluttering up the original phrase.
Up to four effects may be used simultaneously. Digital HUSH® noise reduction may also be applied before the effects, (not needed after, like bargain units), to quiet noisy preamp signals upon entering the effect configurations.
The mixing capabilities of the Intellifex On-Line allow the proper effect layering in a way that is absolutely necessary for guitar rigs. Mix parameters are available for left and right direct levels (which may be analog), as well as an overall effect level. This goes way beyond the industry standard "wet/dry" parameter. Also built into each effect section is even more defined level control for a given effect. -
