Dimarzio - DP169 - Description: DiMarzio Virtual P90TM DP169
In the search for the ultimate soapbar pickup, DiMarzio has used it's patented Virtual VintageŽ technology to create the Virtual P90TM. Although it appears to be a conventional side-by-side humbucker, the pickup's performance is very unconventional. The 2 coils have different frequency responses and output levels. This enables the Virtual P90TM to produce a very open, sonically accurate sound very much like a vintage single-coil P-90, but with a very high degree of hum elimination. In other words, it's quiet and it really rips.
